so betty needs to know the open will cover the cost of the stadium which this year is £200 ( used to £100 and struggled to pay that) lots of folks here on k9 seem to want it to go ahead with people offering donations etc. theres a few ideas floating about and here they r, have a look c wot u think c if u can think of anymore and lets c if all of us together can raise £200 or maybe more towards this open going ahead. dont cancel it just yet betty.

the suggestions:

1/ a whipround @ the dawdon opens

2/ if people prefer a donations box @ the dawdon opens maybe in the hut where the entries will b taken that way u just pop in wot u can every little bit helps.

3/ additional raffles @ any opens obvisouly u wud have to ask the club or organisation holding the event and people wud have to donate prizes or money etc

4/ can any whippets clubs maybe sponser the event?

6/ domino cards sold @ any opens again the club or organisation running the event wud have to be asked but im sure they wudnt mind.

the date for the horden travellers in 1st novemeber so weve got plenty of time to get the cash together. any more ideas anyone?

wot about people doing a sponsered thing like a sponsered silence or wotever u r good @? that wud b a laff. :lol:

i dont mind doing a sponsored leg wax if it means getting the open on!! i let u sort it out though carol, and everyone shud have deep pockets want at least £100 raised to do it that wud mean we wud be half way there so cummon get donating!

im sure if we get enuf people like yourself piglet willing to have your legs waxed or someone have their heads shaved we cud ask jackie if she wud b willing to do it. maybe get u all to go to dawdon and get them done in the hut (so the waxing machine can b plugged in) but people will have to sponser everyone. come on people put on here wot u wud b willing to do and between is we will c if we can come up with something.

just to update everyone, linda is going to print off this thread anf the other one about the horden travelers open and let betty have a look coz she doesnt have a pc. piglet has offered to have his legs waxed for cash, up to now tommy carr has donated £20 to c this and im going to offer a tenner so thats £30 up to now just another £170 to go so COME ON PEOPLE DIG DEEP! the leg waxing can take place @ dawdon with either a profesionalm kit if jackie can make it or if not with the ones u buy in the chemist. everyone who donates something gets to take a strip off so come on people :thumbsup:
