Okay i am not having a go at anyone as has been said the new proposal was voted in by some members who sent there forms back ... weather they understood the proposal or not they still ticked the box that said FOR

But do you think the new proposals fair when a dog such as avit 37lb can line a full greyhound , but a dog like bally boy 16lb cannot

The dogs Ive named have only been used as an example taken from none ped feature topic

Hope this works as ive never done a poll before

not allowing a dog of 16lb ,to go too a greyhound , is a joke

something is wrong already cos

its 4 to 2

and it says 8 votes have been counted lol

gary

If you just want to look at the results without voting first then your vote is counted as a null vote - so the vote count goes up but the results stay the same. If it said 4 to 2 but 8 votes counted it means 2 people looked without voting. The idea is that each member can only vote once and you can't manipulate the results by looking first as your vote has already been counted (as a null vote). Quite clever I think :)

silly me first time ive been wrong for hours lol

thanks judy

i cant belive what i am reading i thought people who voted on the proposal wanted to make the dogs we breed and race smaller how on earth is that going to happen if you think it is fair to breed a 37lb to a ghd and not a 16lb surley the smaller stud dog will produce smaller offspring or am i talking out of my a**e again

your right, this is utter madness

I am over the moon with the way the poll is going ...because most on here that are voting are for the new rule and breeding program ...yet the dog it affects is winning at the moment ..

But i must point out its not a true vote as it open to all k9 members and some users have more than 1 user name ...plus its probably only 50% of the none ped racing members that use k9

I still think some are only using the new rule to benefit themselves ...but i am a big believer in what goes around comes around ...and sitting back and waiting

Out of interest Dee do you think it's fair for Avit to run against 7/8 greyhounds?

I'm flattered you used Avit as an example, many have been thinking he's got more greyhound in him than he has but at least I can take pride in the fact my dog is a whippet. :D

I would of voted that it's unfair that Bally Boy can't line a whippet but only because he's a 16ber with siblings and parentage that were also lightweights (which explains his size). Maybe you should start a thread asking if it's fair for a 7/8 No Limiter to line a greyhound because I believe this is where it's unfair and I suspect I'm not on my own with this thinking either.

Jac as i explain i was not having a go at anyone and still think looking at the bigger picture the propsal is unfair on some dogs ...

Esp if you say

Tinker Man 17/18lb can line a greyhound but Bally Boy 16lb can not

Avit 37lb can line a greyhound but Stag Possessed 35lb can not

The whole issue does not add up if the new breeding program is to breed down in size ...just my opinion

The reason i choose Avit and Bally Boy in the 1st place was the lightest and heaviest in the can or cannot in the none ped feature topic

And which dog is that is 7/8 greyhounds that Avit has to run against

Oh I should add, we're the proud owners of a 23lb 6 month old pup that's also a 1/4 GHD - technically 6/16 if you go back 4 generations and the rule will effect her too.

Like I said Dee, I'm flattered. :)

Dee, I don't need to select a particular dog, it could be any future pup running if things are left to their own devices. Again do you think it's fair?

At your dogs weight i can not think of a 7/8 greyhounds that Avit has to run against in his class ... so until one is named .. i think its unfair to say some scr dogs can line greyhounds while other under 20lb none ped whippets can not ...sorry

I didn't mention class Dee, I was referring to Supreme Scratch and I think readers knew that.

I refuse to be dragged into some little war with fellow scratch racers which I think is what is being incited here because that is not my agenda.

You are trying to show the rule is unfair, I'm meerly demonstrating that without some kind of rule, it's just as unfair.

what war :( its an important debate about the past history and future of the sport regarding breeding wether someones right or wrong dont mean they cant have there say or is it if it dosnt fit in think your bang out of order with that incite bit jak :( but thats your opinion ;)

Jac your dog does not need to run in the sup scr , you choose weather to run him in there ... but sup scr is another subject all together

Theres no war as you point out just common sense, that the big picture is pathetic to wards small more whippet like in appearance stud dogs the new rule affects

Although you making a list of stud dogs and saying what they can line is on your agenda... this is a topic on k9 like your one on list of stud dogs ... i know has upset some

Any way this topic is what i believe is right and if i am wrong for posting it then so be it but you know me i have to say as i find ... it would be a funny old world if every one agreed

Well how else would you like me to describe it when I'm being asked to name names?

I wouldn't mind but I stated that it didn't need to be a particular dog running now and could well be a dog in the future yet the response was that until I named a dog, no answer would be given.

So while we're all asked to answer a hypothetical question (because no-one asked me how I felt about my dog lining a greyhound) no-one is going to answer my equally reasonable hypothetical question.
