I'd appreciate your thoughts. I was due to have my cocker spaniel spayed in Dec, but at the time she had a false pregnancy - lots of new behaviours and the physical signs. We went back to the vets yesterday, but again have delayed spaying as she still has a few of the behavioural issues that started during the false pregnancy. None of us are clear whether she is still experiencing the tail end of the phantom preg. One suggestion has been to put her on a course of Galastop to make sure the false prenancy is truly over, before spaying her. My only concern around this is that if she is actually over the false pregnancy already, and the behavioural issues are now just bad habits we need to tackle, is there a danger in giving her this medication. I'm keen to have her ready for the op so she doesn't have to go through a 2nd season, but don't want to just go ahead if there's a risk her hormone levels are not yet back to normal. Thanks.
