A gallery in Salford looking to host an exhibition on the myths of northern life says it is missing one vital element - a stuffed whippet.
The Lowry gallery at Salford Quays says its tongue-in-cheek review will feature terraced streets, smoking chimneys, driving rain, flat caps and whippets.
They have issued an appeal for someone to loan them a stuffed dog.
Curator Bill Longshaw said that if anyone had one in their loft he would like to hear from them.
The Myths of the North exhibition will be on at the Lowry from 30 June and will also include key works from L S Lowry.
