I reckon the mother of the girl at the centre of this row must be furious. so much so that i heard her say on SKY SPORTS1 earlier that her daughter having to take this gender test is a "real kick in the bollox for her !"

do you think she meant that ? ;)

i dunno eh ?

When I saw 'her' in the race I thought 'she' was very masculine.

I think it is absolutely disgraceful how this has been handled - the poor girl.

I agree she looked very masculine in the race - I even said to my husband, half joking mid-race, that 'I bet there will be a gender test on the cards here'. However, it should all have stayed out of the public domain until the tests were done - if it 'proves' she is female then no harm done to her public or private life. I don't think there's any foul play - she has been reared as female and probably has female 'bits' :b but a lot of testosterone there too!! It's a lot more common than we realise for a baby's gender not to be completely clear at birth.

She obviously has many male characterisistcs which will mean she will probably win every ladies race she enters and that's where the problems will be - the rest may as well give up!

Though her name is a bit unfortunate.......Semenya = SEMEN..YA!
