You may have noticed a new Category of forums on K9 - Genealogy Forums. Initially there are just 2 forums - Non-Pedigree Whippet Breeding and a Non-Pedigree Racing Whippet database.

The Non-Pedigree Breeding forum is spcifically for discussions relating to the breeding of Non-Ped racing dogs and the database forum is a redirected link to a database of Non-Pedigree Racing Whippets.

Tha database uses some new software partly written by me & partly written by Alfirin. At the moment there are more than 2500 dogs in the database and there is a data entry form that allows you to submit new information for inclusion into the database.

The software has been tested over the last few weeks by Vicky, Michelle, Judy and myself and I think we've ironed out most of the bugs but there may still be a few - let me know if you have any problems.

A special thank you should go out to Judy for taking on the role of Database administrator (she says she enjoys it  ) and to Vicky and Michelle for continual pressure over the last 18 months to get a non Ped database going...

No - BIG and i mean BIG thanks goes to you & Judy for doing this for us all to see & use, it's something you didn't need to do as you have no reason to use it.

I just hope everyone appreciates your efforts & now swamps Judy with masses of pedigree's (w00t)

Thankyou, your stars!!!! :D

Well a lot of thanks must go to you too and everyone else who has given me pedigrees. Audrey Johnson has been a star too. She has just sent me some pedigrees to look at and of course her books have been a great starting point.

Did anyone ever mention to you whippet racers that amongst the peddie racers she's nicknamed The Oracle 'cause she knows the breeding, relatives etc of all of the peddie racers?

big thanks nigel and judy for allowing us a non ped database. loads of hard work has gone into this :sweating: (judy and vicky ) hopefully people will start adding there dogs breeding and we'll have a really useful database to all non ped racers.

cant thank nigel and judy enough....not only for k9 but the database as well (bloody hell.....i must stop drinking im getting soppy) :D

Bit over the top there Michelle. Steady on old bean. :D It'll only go to her head you know. And hell you never want to thank men as they will start to get above themselves. J & N. :D

im going into oscar speech mode  .

must admit they've done a really good job

Still doesn't work - the dogs are not connected to their parents.

i.e Connor's Wish comes up as being bred from connor's lass but when you click on Connor's Lass it says she's had no offspring or any litter mates.
