Get Rid Of Your Dog Or You're Out

Disgusting! I know i would rather live beside a family with a pet dog than a lot of the types that council housing is handed out to!

Like junkies and the likes

Oh No, that is terrible, the poor woman with the Cavalier and the people with elderly dogs, they just can't be allowed to do it, thin end of the wedge etc!! If I was told I had to leave or get rid of my dogs, I'd have to get a tent!

Lets hope that what go`s around comes around.

we are in the same situation now...

last week had a newsletter from our HA, among other things - drug taking in the coridors, people breaking doors and locks, a complete riot in the bin storage and the break ins in cars in the underground parking one of the issues mentioned were pets, apparently some residents have reported that there are other residents keeping dog(s) in their property, they must be rehoused by the 26th of april if not they will take legal action. we emailed them asking for permission to keep them, have had no response so are awaiting the 26th to see what happens. we are willing to go court and fight for our right to keep them.

the complaint isn't about the dogs themselves, just about the fact that they're here. I am rather depressed, there's no question about us parting. I guess it is more likely we lose, if so it will be a long time for us to find different acomodation, considering that we will have to sell our share and it's a process that takes months on end (we lost another property after we had a mortgage certificate because of how long that HA was taking, that happened just before the market crashed). if we can't keep them here and do have to look elsewhere I just hope they let us keep the dogs for that time as they have been here for over a year.

it baffled me when we got the information, at the time, they were giving as less than two weeks to rehouse them. as if I could just do that and get on with my life in the marvellous area and surroundings we live in. as if of all the issues we and our dogs that cause no harm whatsoever are the biggest concern! as if I'd want to stay and live here!

just because a council make a decision doesnt mean theyre right.people should challenge them more, especially if they are infringing their human rights.failing wanting to do that theres always the threat of bad publicity!

That's good news, at least common sense seems to have prevailed fo rthe time being.

Really sorry to hear about your situation, Noise :(
