about every 6 weeks or if i think they hav'nt ran as well as i know they can then i have them checked out. :D

i use alan & ivy from felling they have been doing it for a long time and i find them very honest and won't take anybody for a ride as some do. :- " :))

i try to get my dogs checked ever time they have raced i usally leave them a day to settle down after a race then i take them to my brother neil to let him check them over.

cheers bro

I used to take my peddies to Ken Woodacre for a once over every month and if injured to Kevin Reeves (experienced vet)

Following lots of reccomendations, I've since taken Dobs (non-ped) to Robert Meek, basically for a check before he started bend racing. Unfortunately / fortunately (depending on how you look at it) he diagnosed him with an injury and gave me advice and suggested laser therapy as an assistant to his recovery.

Last week I met a man at Westhoughton by the name of Neville (sorry don't know his last name) as I was told he provides laser teatment. Without informing him he confirmed Robert Meek's diagnosis and we've started a course of treatment. There was a few non-ped folk who was interested in his methods of diagnosis (he used a crystal?!) and they also had their dogs examined and had known injuries confirmed that had been previously diagnosed by Meek.

I think for the future I will continue seeing Robert Meek for examinations (due to him being highly recommended and his qualifications) I would also see Neville again if he had any appropiate treatment available that Mr Meek suggested and for veterinary treatment I'm inclined to stick with Kevin Reeves.

Other names that I've heard for being good experienced vets are Paul Evans and George Drake? It'd be nice to read any comments people have to offer.

when you say a crystal do you mean a dousing pendulum?i have lots of customers who use crystals for healing and very effective they are supposed to be too.i hear good recommendations about them all the time

I haven't a clue I was hoping someone on here could explain it to me as I've heard there's other folk that use them?

we use same as john g alan & ivy weve used them 4 years, mickey whizz always got checked & treated by them, they r greyhound trainers and i personally think they r very good. as 4 getting dogs checked... always b4 a big race, other than that every 6 weeks or so or like john g if i think they have ran bad.

weve got customers who buy dousers from us and lots of different crystals like amethyst, rainbow rock, rose quatrz etc.they use them in diagnosis and treating illness and injuries.its been done for thousands of years with success.different crystals are used for treating different illnesses like amethyst is good for sleeplessness and headaches also good for meditating and is used as a grounding crystal and to recharge other crystals when theyve lost their power.

I TAKE MY DOGS [THE LURCHERS] TO ROBERT MEEK WHEN HE GOES TO

MY FRIENDS KENNELS[PAUL LIDDLES] ON THE THE ODD TIME I USE ALEC

WESTHEAD

BOTH FIND AND TREAT ASWELL AS ANYONE

AND IF NEEDED I CAN USE THE SWIMMING POOL AT THE KENNELS

IF DOG NEEDS TO BE KEPT ON LEAD THE POOL IS EXCELLENT

AND HEATED AS WELL

I took Dobs to a hydrotherapy pool earlier this year, basically so he was used to the experience if he ever needed it. Didn't go well really as he got quite stressed out over it. I don't know if this was because of there being a current in the water or more likely (IMO) the fact that when he swam over to me he was dragged back by his vest by the instructor. I've took him the beach since and he's happily swam in the sea so I'm wondering whether to try him again now he's older or try a different place altogether? Is this the usual thing they do when dogs go swimming or is it just the instructor?

where do you buy them from kris..hobbits ? (w00t) (w00t)

id like you prove to me that they work..id love it to be true. is there any little test that i can do with crystals that might make me believe theres any truth in their powers ?

We also take our dogs to neil pem he is excellent with the dogs he also checks to make sure your following the correct treatment and he is always there when you need him thanks babes

He's also very good at decking arnt you babe :D

well me and me brother have our dogs checked by graham miller. He as treated (desperate dan,son of bitch, buffalo bill and treating dennis the menace at the minute.and also treats peggy sue.not a bad hall of fame that.

I think it's worth getting them checked out every 4-6 weeks regardless of whether you think they're performing or not. Only just started using Robert Meek and am pleased with the service - i probably wouldn't take as many dogs next time though to make sure they have a good amount of time spent on them. Before that i used Kevin Reeves (greyhound vet) regular from Ella being a pup and have always been happy with him, he spends lots of time explaining everything and getting to know the dog (55 mins on one session  ) trouble is he's now gone part time and i struggle to get there during the day without taking holidays. He's done cracking op's on a couple of my dogs so would be inclined to go back there for veterinary treatment. From what i've seen of Paul Evan's toe surgery (and Robert Meek sings his praises too) he looks to be VERY good and reasonably priced so would probably give him a go should i feel the need to.
