I have about 2 acres of land which I use for my horses in the summer, I also keep 4 shetland ewes on it all year round to keep the grass down  Running up one side is an old devon bank which is riddled with rabbits. My neighbours also have a similar boundary between their land and the lane and the rabbits which frequent that bank like to dine out in my field (w00t)
These rabbits are now digging holes in my field and wrecking the ground,. Obviously it's dangerous for the horses and means I will have to go round filling in the holes and reseeding my fields for the spring.
My dogs will chase and kill if they get a chance but because the area is small, the rabbits nearly always manage to get back to the hedge before the dogs can get them
How can I get rid of these pesky furries??? Are ferrets the only solution to this??
And if ferrets are the only way.... is there anyone with experienced ferrets and dogs in the Launceston area who could help??
 Jane
