All proceeds to Irish terrier breed rescue.

Further details to follow - all welcome, especially nutty ginger dogs

does ginger and white count? :- "

Well...depending on how many prizes I can blag (!) from willing donors, we could have a prize for 'partial gingers'!

Razzle looks lovely - please bring him along...and the dancing penguin too :)

Please bring all your hounds - ginger or not!

We'll just take whole-coloured dogs n a shade of red as 'gingers'!

dont think iwill bring all 9 but i will bring a few shaes of ginger plus our Alexs with her aubern hair(not ginger)

aww, would love to come, but we'll be sitting in the airport that day waiting to fly to Spain :D hope you have another one locally soon

:) Look forward to welcoming you all. Please spread the word!

(Surely there must be some red running dogs in the north west - everyone is welcome, ginger or not!)

PS - I wish the red strain of deerhound hadn't died out! I believe there was a Russian breed called an Orlovian (prob misspelt) Wolfhound that looked a bit like a red deerhound. What about Pharoh hounds? Ibizan hounds? Podengos of all 3 sizes, basset fauvres of both sizes, irish setters, finnish spitz........

Scrumpy says thanks very much for the invitation but she will be winning rosettes that day at an agility show :- " Hopefully :luck:

I'm really fed up that we can't be there but the show is already entered, it's a weekend one.

I hope you have a great day & raise loads of dosh for the rescue.

Julie & Scrumpy :)

:luck: Good luck Scrumpy :luck: Sorry you can't make it!

er....does a fawn Whippet count? This is not far from us!

Surely there must be some anti-discriminatory law that should come into play here? If not, don't tell, or else Labour will have one in place just in time for June!!! ;)

I was actually wondering if there was a huge grant available via the tax payer because gingers are an opressed minority (w00t) I shall ring Mr. T. Blair this evening to find out!

However, there may be objections to the rat-catching relay race :- "

Some more details:

11am start

Venue: Scarisbrick Village Hall, Smithy Lane, Scarisbrick, Ormskirk, Lancashire

Classes include waggiest tail, sausage catching, rat-relay, potato deportment and many more.

Ginger prizes donated so far (thankyou!) from Napier and Culper a ginger gift basket; from Fentimans, a crate of ginger beer; from 'A Touch of Ginger', some creadit-card sized bottle openers (for emergency beers!!!) and from Scotts of Ormskirk (a good local shop) some lovely Ormskirk ginger bread.

Of course, there will be doggy prizes too....
