Gizmo, Crossbreed, DOB 04.08 – Orpington, Kent

Homing Requirements: Gizmo needs stability and security. His family should cater for his 'young dog' needs and provide him with a regime to occupy and express his energy; regular walks and involvement with the families activities. Gizmo would love to live with at least one other dogs and has successfully lived with cats; he will just need to be checked as he settles with them as he will initially be curious if they run outside. Gizmo is excited meeting dogs outside and needs time to settle. A halti addresses his keen pull energy into check.

His Story: Gizmo has been home ‘hopping' and was rescued by a social worker whose client had taken him in as he wasn't being cared for and then promptly found she wasn't able to offer him walks or afford proper food. Gizmo is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Fostered in Orpington, Kent.

Advert: Gizmo has been through lots of homes through no fault of his own, but somehow he has emerged very conversant and as a kind, tolerant and considerate soul. He has lived with kids, different dogs and cats. Gizmo is currently fostered in with 3 cats and regularly visiting young grandchildren. He enjoys a long walk in the morning and another in the evening which allows him to settle with his bones and chews. A loving soul who travels well and can be left without destruction.

Gizmo is an attractive crossbreed dog with perhaps Parson's Jack Russell and/or Staffie present. Just 4 years old and he can still be leapy when excited but is learning to correct this on checking from his foster mum. He can get a little barky when approaching dogs outside but presents as no risk; just excitement and concern due to lack of opportunity in his past to enjoy formal walks. He is coming on leaps and bounds but is a young dog and we offer no apology for that.

Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
