Ditto for Tyler and Fletch please Judy :D

If we had a choice Louise we would MUCH rather be racing, but my neice is being christened tommorow and I am to be a godmother so I can't really not go :(

We did wonder whether we could make it to Glos, have a few trials and get back here for 3 oclock - but I thought it was cutting it a bit fine!

See you and little Daisy next week

Hi Kim,

It is when all of the dogs come out of traps that are all off the same mark (level) and the lure is then put in the middle at the front. Unlike the usual handicap where the bigger dogs are handicapped behind due to their weight. This method is used at many of the open meetings and at the Championships with dogs covering only a 2lb weight difference all run together. Most of us want to give our dogs some practice of this type of trapping as they have to get used to the lure being in a different place, as we have two young dogs lots of practice is needed!

Are you joining us next sunday?

Hi

We didn't think anything was going on this week as lots of people busy, was a just incase thing.

Can you put Daisy down for next Sunday please Judy

I think I've already said Judy - but Sweep and Nibs for racing next week please. Should be a good day - looks like most of us will be there. Hope you're not going to disappoint us Judy and Nigel?!!!

OK got you all down for racing and trialling. We should be there but it might depend on whether we've got transport :(

how about lamp light (tilly) (tilly light)

I don't think Daisy can come on Sunday as her toe has swollen up, not sure why yet, she is going back to the vets in the morning for x-rays :( she might have broken it.

Poor Daisy. Hope she gets better soon. Give her a hug from us :huggles:

Oh no - poor Daisy. Hope she is ok - give her :huggles: from us, and let us know how you get on at the vets.

Hi

vet today thinks it is a tweaked ligament, its not as swollen as yesterday when she looked like she had a club foot, its quite red between the toes and a bit swollen so I'm wondering whether she has trodden on a toy awkwardly, the vet hasn't done anything with it in case there is something in there so we will have to wait and see and give her the metacam. Have fun on sunday, Daisy is gutted no fun for days

Hi Louise,

We know the feeling - ligament problems for us too :( Give Daisy a hug from us, hope that she is not injured for too long. Usually 4-6 weeks with that type of injury. (well that it the time we are looking at)

Hi Darcia

Sorry to hear you have the same problem. Our vet didn't give us a time frame so at least we now know it probably wont be a while till shes fixed instead of us coming back in a week and maybe causing her bigger problems. The vet said to keep her quiet, how quiet should she be kept i.e. walks and stuff its hard to keep her calm at the best of times and with only small walks and no running shes bouncing off the walls. Any advice is welcome as we are new at this.

Thx

Louise

Take her to the Greyhound vet, Simon Gower. (We met the other week at Glos  (Archie and Fynn)) My Archie has had toe problems, and to be honest, a general vet is like your GP. They look at a problem and diagnose it vaguely, and the GP refers on to an expert, not always the case with your vet. With a running dog, it is quite important to get a correct diagnosis and a sympathetic treatment. Simon is very reasonably priced, and will restore your confidence. He is based at Swindon Greyhound track, and you can phone 07770 586193 for an appointment. Daisy is very young, and the wrong treatment now might spoil her for the future.
