Congratulations to everyone at Gloucester on a realy well run Open

:D How kind of you! No-one moaned about my line judgements yesterday, that has to be a first! But it must be very difficult to run an Open AND run dogs, and because of that, I think these people deserve our gratitude, help and support.

Mark knows only too well about how much work goes in to staging an open, and also how nice it is to be praised for your efforts. ;)

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterdays open, as did many others. I'm sad that it was our Secretary Darcia's last day at the job, :( but would like to thank her for her efforts over the last few years. Darcia's efforts were invaluable to us when we first came to the club. She, Rob, Geoff, Jane, and many others welcomed us warmly. Darcia helped with the training of our puppies, always putting them with the right dogs, and with the right handicaps - and it has paid off - both are running true, and with no problems. Gloucester is quite a small club, but with members who are considerate to others, and always willing to lend dogs to train youngsters. Vince and Julia with their many dogs, were always keen to help us, and we appreciate them too. At the beginning of this season, we didn't always feel like going club racing, but made the effort because others did the same for us when our pups were young.

If Gloucester's next Secretary puts in half as much effort - we'll be happy :)

i agree with june, darcia will be sorely missed. she has done a hard thankless job and done it bloody well.

Yep, I second or even third that. She's been one of the best

Gee Darcia you seem to have a fan-club!! And thoroughly deserved too. I for one will miss the newsletters. It will take someone very capable to fill your shoes. Perhaps someone who lives in the Bath area, has raced for about 15yrs, has loved dogs since childhood, and who's birthday falls on June 30th. Any guesses?

Welldone to all the crew for sundays effort and many thanks to all non-club members who also helped prepare the track. It was a good day.

I hope those dogs who were injured a speedy recovery, especially Fuller Spirit. May we see you back on the track soon.
