Hi--I wanted to share with this board a new Field Champion for me in lure coursing here in the USA, who is half-English breeding:
Surrey Hill's Ripon Jewel (named after the beer, that's right!) finished her lure coursing championship today. I hope to get some running photos of her soon (lampy? Care to take a plane flight?), but for now, here is a standing photo:
Jewel is out of my own old Surrey Hill stud dog, and her dam is UK-import "Mable" Bluestreak Belle Du Jour F.Ch. OTRM CR TRP, who was herself a very fine lure courser when she was a young'un. Jewel's 3/4 sister was sold here and went over to the UK when her owners moved back home, and is known to the EAWCC members as Surrey Hill's the Witching Hour, as she has done lure coursing with that group.
I have had very good results in lure coursing here with my half-English Mabel babies.
