Does anyone know where I can buy a hand winding lure machine? I am told that they were quite common years ago but not so now. Thanks.

Hi Chris

Why dont you make your own? or is that not the done thing these days?

I remember my dad making one many many years ago!

Hello Chris,

You can buy a  hand driven  lure from the Greyhound and Whippet shop in Walthamstow, they  are expensive, but, they are very well made and sturdy, and very easy to use. Hope this is of some use to you.

I'm in the process of setting my own business up after getting laid off. Some of the things I will be making are hand turned lure machines & traps. I should be producing round about May/June.

Terry sorry to hear about you getting laid off, i will vouch for the excellent traps that you made the club a couple of years ago as they are the best set of traps i've seen.  (ps. we'll have to get a new twig this year though for the bolt on the back trap!!!!)
