Hi there friends of mines have newfoundlands hope a spelt it correct.lol. and one of them who is 9years old has been having promblems in that she eats her dinner and then pees straight after where ever she is sitting and then starts whinning, has anybody came across this in your own dogs. i hope i have posted this on the correct area. thanks.

Hi Senga, Sorry I can't help with the problem, but think you might be better posting on General Dog related. Hope you get some replies. :luck:

I have a dog who has to have a poo the minute hes had his dinner. He gets quite excited in a quiet way about his food.

Perhaps they should just feed her outside. The whining is probably all part of the learned behavior and best ignored if everything else seems ok.

thanks karen i will pass your post on to my friend.

My guess is she is becoming incontinent, that happens to old dogs (and people). Probably as she eats her full stomach presses on her bladder. Feeding outside would be obviously beneficial in a short run, but vet can prescribe medication which can help. :luck: :luck: :luck:

could she be in pain? Sounds like it if she's whining. A visit to the vet could be in order.

Linda

Hi linda i think the vets are there next port of call but i dont think that they want bad news. :luck:

She may be ditressed if she's whining because she doesn't like the fact that she's weed in the house even though she can't help it

you dont know how there minds work do you. a wish somtimes there was a doc dolittle.lol

Nobody wants bad news but problems are generally less serious when treated early :luck:
