Hello all. Ive just joined this forum after searching online for any help I can get with my little dog. He's started wee'ing (less often) and pooing (very often- twice a day average?) in the house.
Brief back ground- He's 9 years JRT x Shih Tzu whom ive had since a puppy. He's house trained but has over the years had odd accidents, just one off's not on a regular basis until now. He can ask to go out if he needs too and always has done.
He's recently been diagnosed with heart problems and is starting treatment but this issue started before the treatment began so its not medication related.
It started about a fortnight ago, whilst I was at work he'd poo (I'm gone 4 hours max and its never been a problem til now) but its progressed to he will poo in the kitchen when we are sitting down in the evening watching TV, making no attempt to ask to go outside.
The vet has examined him and found no reason- he's also had abdominal xrays which showed his insides looked all ok.
Any idea's? Its getting a problem, I don't want a smelly house, even more though obviously I am worried for my dog's health and the fact my other half is far less tolerant than me (although to be fair he's remaining calm so far!)
Sorry for my first post being poo related!
