Hi.

To make a long and very difficult story short. A close friend of mine moved to her partner in the UK about six months ago, along with her two dogs and cat.
Things haven´t worked out at all though. I wouldnt call it domestic violence, but psychologically it almost is. She is properly stuck, with no money and he don´t even want to let her leave, meaning he does nothing to help her out do do so, quite the opposite. But it´s not a police matter, not yet atleast.
I´m willing to, but I live abroad and need to bring them all with me, but the rabiesvaccination has expired, so it´s 21 days no matter what. And nor she or I can afford a kennel for three weeks or more and the two trips over etc.
And she just can´t give up the dogs. She´s had them for almost ten years and she just can´t.
We´ve tried to find pet sitters, but either they can´t or they´re as expensive as a kennel.
I tried rscpa who was downright unpolite and said they wouldn´t offer any help.

Does anyone know if any other shelters, or organisations, or networks would be able to help out with temporary rehoming? Anywhere in southern England basically since I would go over by car and help her out.

Any suggestions is welcome, none of us are british and don´t know anyone there or anything I´m afraid, even though I´ve googled extensiveley to try and find a solution.

Speak to DEFRA, or whatever they are called now, because I am almost certain that you can leave the country with the dogs having just had their rabies vaccinations but just cannot re enter until the 21 days are up.

I have travelled abroad several times with my dogs and there are no Pet Passport checks on the way out, just on entry into the UK.

Hope your friend finds a solution.

I think Spain requires 21 days. But I have never, ever been asked for documents when going to anywhere outside the uk
