hey all,

Hope you are well.

I wanted some general advice. My cousins mum passed away last week and they are hosting the funeral tomorrow. We are indian so our traditions means the body comes to the house in the morning.

They have a 3 year old German Sheperd who won't be able to be present due to the amount of people which will also turn up to the house and it can be quite chaotic. I just wanted to know what everyone would suggest for the few hours of the funeral.

1. We could take him to my place, however he hasn't seen my 2 dogs for a long while, so I wouldn't leave them alone without supervision as although they were introduced a year ago, German shep is 3 and not castrated, and I have a rottie/american bulldog (not castrated) and a husky (castrated) both aged 6, and I don't want to risk anything, especially as Storm(GSD) will be emotionally stressed as he's really missing my aunty. We do have a conservatory we can put him in, however it has a glass door where my 2 can see him through, will this be more stressful for him, being alone, locked in a conservatory (quite spacious) but maybe anxious because he can see the other dogs but not have access to them?

2. We keep him at the house upstairs, and away from the funeral guests, but he's in his own home, he is quite guarding, so might make noise, but it means he's in his own surrounding and comfortable?

We are confused with what we can do which will stress him the least

Thanks for your replies in advance
