hello my name is Lewis ive only recently heard of lure coursing and it sounds amazing but i know nothing about it so could you help me please

I live in Liverpool so is there a club that trains on a regular basis close to me ?

and also can any breed of dog train and compete?

thanks

Hi Lewis,

Sorry I don't know of anywhere in your area but just thought I'd reply & say hello & welcome to K9

I tried my lurcher at lure coursing a few months ago at a country show & she took to it right away & loved it. (w00t)

I hope you find somewhere to go, what dogs have you got by the way?

Julie.

I'm pretty sure that both the Northern and Lancs PWRC clubs lure course during the winter months.

Links to their forums on here. Northern

Lancs

Somewhere I've seen a post re lure coursing dates from the Lancs.

Thanks Bj.

Pennymeadow has contacted him by PM regarding the lure coursing.

JT; I believe he's got a Bull Terrier.

Welcome Lewis

I've seen quite a few non-pointynoses have a go and do really well (w00t) including: a GSD that went lamping with a lurcher; a fell terrier; 2 English pointers and even Hannah's collie as I recall  They're usually just allowed fun runs after the main event though.
