hi im just wondering as i ave poasted befor me and a few racing mates want to hed over to england for a racing week end which is the biggest race week end tat we could attend and the dates and wat else we would ave to do to run thanks

 I CAN ONLY SPEAK FOR THE CLUB THAT I BELONG TO, OLD HALL W.R.C. IN SO FAR AS WE HAVE TWO OR THREE WEEKEND EVENTS AT OUR VENUE AND THEY ARE ALL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS RUN BY THE B.W.R.A. THIS MEANS THAT ONLY DOGS REGISTERED WITH THEM CAN RUN, AT THOSE EVENTS. HOWEVER, IF YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON THIS SITE, YOU WILL SEE CLUBS' PUBLICISING THEIR OWN WEEKEND EVENTS AND IF YOU SEND A P.M. TO THE TOPIC ORIGINATOR, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WITH REGARDS TO AVAILABILITY OF RACING FOR YOU AND YOUR DOGS. MEANWHILE, IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE OF OUR CLUB BEING ABLE TO ACCOMODATE YOU I WILL P.M. YOU TO TELL YOU. GOOD LUCK. :luck:

all dogs ave raced in company ect just we race different than yourselfs hopefully some one will give me run down on scottish derby  thanks again for help sherry

the little bit i can tell u is the derby is a fantastic weekend event. great atmosphere and its my own personal fave race of the year. all dogs race on the sat not sure of the distance but i think it cud b 150 or 160 yds for the yds per 1lb dogs. the scratch i think is over 175yds. this is 40lb and no limit (dont think theres a 36lb) if u get thru the sat u wud race in the final on the sun if not there is consolation racing on the sun. all finals u get walked down the track to the traps behind the piper. dogs r no more than 5 in a race out of traps. this is all i can tell u about it. depending on how many heats there were i think its 1st two thru to the next round. it wud b impossible to say how many runs u wud have though as that wud depend on of u won  this is straight racing btw

I don't think I can answer all your questions and Im sure someone more experienced will be along soon

I think scratch racing is in 2 classes up to 40lb and No limit for whippets heavier than that ( I don't think

Scotland has an upper weight limit but I could be wrong.)

Scratch racing is run out of 5 level break traps over 175 yards in heats to a final over two days

There is camping on the field where the track is, I don't think the camping prices have been announced this year

gbabe6981 is the person who usually puts all the details up on here so you would be better to pm her as she will

be the person who knows more

Hope that helps
