When I bred my first litter of pups I picked up the theme of using Mr or Miss in the Kennel club name. My first IG was called Mr Smartie and the dad of Hatties pups is Mr Christian.

Having had 4 litters I am starting to run out of good names.

The last litter were Miss Saigon, Miss Dynamite and Miss Teeq.

So any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I seem to have used all my favourites especially for the boys.

Mr Blue Sky, Mr Sandman, Mr President.

We've been through the Miss Behavin, Miss Demeanour, Miss Adventure etc.

Thanks Jan

 Jan was this a planned or unplanned mating because if it was the latter you could use Miss Alliance!!

Also thought of Miss Defy

For a boy perhaps De Mister!!!

On the Mr theme: when we had our fawn whippet pup we called him Mr Tumnus from C.S.Lewis's The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe. It was a play on words as Mr Tumnus is actually a fawn in the story ( if you don't know it). The series might provide any number of interesting names.

Also thought of Mister Eman!!(mystery man)or Miss Ninaction (Missing in action)

Adopt the French system : one year, one letter

For 2004 : V

For 2005 : A ( we have no K, Q, W, X, Y, Z )

Mister Bean - Mister Jekyll

Miss Moneypenny - Miss You

Or you could confer them with degrees ...

Dr Who

Dr Doolittle

Dr No

Miss T Morning

Miss T Moonlight

It would take a bit of research but teachers from films/TV

Mr Keating - Dead Poet's Society

Mr Holland - Mr Holland's Opus

Mr ? - To Sir With Love (how can I not remember Sidney Poitier's character?)

Mr Kotter - Welcome back Kotter

Miss ? - Gangster's Paradise (was that the name of the film?) Michelle Pfeiffer

 Just a couple more

Miss Doubt (missed out)

Miss Directed

Miss Aprehension

Miss D Thboat(missed the boat)

Miss Muffet

Miss Ing

Mr Fied (mysterfied)

Mr Tee

How about:- Miss Jones (rising damp)

Mr. Kipling

Mr. Humphreys (Im free)

Mr. Darcy

Mr. Ed

Miss Whiplash (maybe not!) :b

Miss the boat

Miss last orders

;) Mrs Zoomin Aboot :teehee: for an IG in Scotland! :- "

Lots of good suggestions above. All I could think of was Miss Scarlet (Cluedo), Miss Marple (whodunnit stories), Miss World....etc

I did think of Mr Darcy (Jane Austen heros) but that's already been suggested.

What fun...deciding kennel names. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions, one or two good ones there.

I like Mr Bluebird , that would suit a Blue dog nicely.

7 days to go, not counting or anything, just panicking thinking of all the things I have got to do this week before we batten down the hatches for the great wait.

We will move into the spare room later this week. Took her temperature today so we can gauge normal. I have the stair gate up on the spare room door and Hattie has been in and tried out the whelping box and given it the seal of approval.

She is looking very serene and pleased with herself, a real lady in waiting.

Miss E (Missy)

Miss T (Misty)

Miss Chievous

Miss Fortune (lol not a good omen with a pup ;) )

Good luck Hattie!! :D

MOH suggested Miss Piggy and Mr Muscle....then he asked what breed was he thinking up names for? Hmmm...maybe not. :p These names just don't conjure up elegant IG's.

;) Mr Sandman (as in .. bring me a dream) - for a fawn although I believe it's not originally a Carpenters song..

My OH has just demanded that if we have a blue dog it is called Mr Bluesky ... from the Allman Brothers Band

Now I can't get the Mr Sandman tune out of my head!!!!!......

:p Now he's come up with

Mr Wiggles - 'The Motor Booty Affair' song/album by George Clinton...

apparently Mr Wiggles has two friends 'slithering idiots, Giggle and Squirm'

Me and 'Mrs Jones' - by Billy Paul

(omg! OH has now started singing in the other room... something about meeting a Mrs Jones..... well, he does have a toothbrush in his mouth) :- "

:huggles: You'll love him Jan, he's just as daft as me (w00t)

ooooo my degree etc is in literature - what about...

Mr Pickwick, Mr Dickens, Mr Poe, Mrs Dalloway, or Mr Picasso (who had a 'blue' period), or Mr ... :sweating: Miss Bronte, Miss Austen, Miss Mansfield

 Already used Mr Sandman and Mr Blue Sky. Mr Blue Sky is one of my all time favourite records. I may be able to reuse them as the last time it was under a different affix.

Will use Mr Dee Jay if there is a dog puppy

Miss Independent for a bitch.

That Miss Moneypenny suggestion was great  I can just SEE an ig-Lois Maxwell!
