Taken out of today's paper. These men are just a small part of the CFA (country fire authority). The CFA does have employees, but so many are just normal everyday people who volunteer to put their lives on hold and at risk to protect their community. Here are four of them. Hero and thank you are such small words for all that they give and all that they do.

So true Graeme, this is why I posted them. At times we tend to take it for granted that the CFA is there when we need them, but we don't really put much thought into where these people come from. They just come from everwhere. There were over 7000 of them fighting these fires.
