Further to my recent topic about Customs investigating me as a Trader of dogs and cats I can reveal they came last week, all very official 2 ladies with black briefcases , inspected my property and grilled me about my hobby.

Now I only have 2 dogs and 5 cats and not very often do we have puppies, its been 2 litters in 3 years. Anyway they were very nosey and would not have it that my animals were bought for many reasons. I told them I knew they were acting on a tip off and that there were people on the internet with loads od dogs and loads of cats so why had they driven 100 miles to see me with my few pets. They wrote to me today to say they did not believe I was a trader and would go no further. :teehee:

Good News. But they have to do their checks I suppose...There are so many people trading illegally but when you are honest they will make a sensible decision as they have with you. I know because I was a civil servant [different department] and had to visit people but we are also human too, and can usually spot the honest people.

Sorry to hear what had happen to you,a smilair thing happened to me a few years back, I had a vist from the RSPCA, and they said that I had dogs couped up and under feed :rant: My dogs live better then us, I love my boys and would do nothing to harm them, people can be so horrible :rant: I know these people are only doing there job, but they need to look further a field :- "

A LOT OF THE TIME PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THE FRAME OR BUILD OF A WHIPPET OR GREYHOUND .AND THINK THAT THEY ARE SKINNY AND STARVED WHERE AS WE ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT STANS BUM AND KNOW THATS NOT THE CASE :lol: IM GLAD IT ALL WORKED OUT FOR YOU DEBSANDBEN :cheers:

You must have been so worried , these people have a job to do we all understand that and having held an NGRC licence for many yrs we get spot checks from our steward , he arrives all offical walks around inside and out checks the dogs kennels food and whatever else he wants to see , looks at the two books we have to keep signs them and leaves us alone for a few months !

I never mind him comming but still feel uneasy like he is here to find fault but never has any cause to here.
