We are planning to have a weeks break later on this year, Oct or Nov. I'm really struggling to find somewhere that will take 3 dogs :(

I've been on so many websites but cant find anywhere that is suitable.

we need;-

Somewhere fairly reasonably priced, £250 ish per week. Either a cottage or self catering chalet.

3 dogs welcome

Enclosed garden, for those late night wees, so I don't have to take them all out on lead all the time. Rafferty is a real little Houdini so an enclosed area is vital.

preferably Northumbria, we've been before & it's great but we are open to suggestions elsewhere.

Within easy reach of a dog friendly beach or somewhere else for safe offlead running

So.... not too much to ask then

Does anyone know of anywhere we could go please

Thanks,

Julie :)

these are in yorkshire www.hopeholidaycottage.co.uk or chaple barn kilburn good luck

Just a thought, but if a cottage says max 2 free dogs, or something to that effect, it's often worth e-mailing and asking if they'll accept 3 dogs. Quite often owners are willing to compromise if you explain how well behaved and clean they are, and that you'll bring your own throws for them to lie on (not on the furniture obviously :- ).

We've mostly had to compromise on the secure garden to get a cottage when taking the dogs. I always have to walk the dogs out last thing anyway, so don't really mind having to do it on holiday as well. You do get used to it.

 you mean "lie" don't you Nicola....this is Rafferty & crew we are talking about  Good idea though, thanks.

Tanya, Norfolk is our second choice of venue so you never know ;)

Thanks for the info cinders, I'll have a look at those, Yorkshire is lovely too, we've been to Whitby a few times over the years.

I know you've asked for Northumberland but we had a brilliant holiday in a cottage 2 minutes walk from a huge beach in South Cumbria. Here's the thread I posted at the time

It's a Sykes cottage and in November costs £200 (although £15 per dog). It doesn't specify how many you are allowed. Although it doesn't have a garden, it does have a small enclosed back yard which is ideal for dog toilets! It looks as though it has been completely re-decorated too. Maybe not the most perfect cottage but the location certainly made up for any shortcomings. It was superb.

Oh well.....I couldn't possibly comment on your three, but it's certainly a porky pie when it comes to my two :p

We've managed to find somewhere, it's not exactly Northumbria....in fact it's in Norfolk so watch out Tanya, we'll be invading your area in early November.

I did as you suggested Nicola & asked the very nice owners if we could bring an extra dog & they were fine about it :D so that's that sorted. It's a bungalow right next to the beach with a totally enclosed back garden, exactly what we wanted and really reasonably priced too.
