edited to add, she is looking to rehome a rescue whippet rather than buy a puppy :)

hi to everyone, i am new to this so please be patient.

six months ago we had to have our beloved rescue whippet 'elvis' put to sleep, it was one of the hardest decisions we had to make. now some months on we (my husband and me) have decided the time is right to rehome again.

we have no children but my sister visits with her two year old son and eight year old daughter who are both used to dogs, as elvis was very timid and warey of people.

i am at home all day and work evenings part time my husband works days part time, so there is somebody in most of the time except on the rare occasion he takes me out (dont tell him i said that).

we live in a small semi detached house with a small garden but are surrounded by fields seconds away with the most brilliant dog walking country.

we have applied with the whippet rescue but have heard nothing yet.

we live in lincolnshire but are prepared to travel if a suitable one is found.

i saw an ad a few weeks ago and rang up and went to see her, she sounded perfect

(my husband said too good to be true) the lady advertised her as a whippet, pedigree but with no papers, so off to the other side of the universe we travelled only to be met by a beautiful lurcher/greyhound yes thats what we said 'i thought she was a whippet' to which the reply was 'oh is she not'!!

so i have now been told by him indoors to stop looking through all these classifieds and go to where somebody will know what they are talking about.

It really is a whippet we are after, pref not a puppy, any sex or age considered up to seven approx.

apologies for the bio, its a bit long winded i know

look forward to hearing from you all.
