Enquiries continue about the scheduled Open for the 23rd September.
Can I confirm then that the Open has been cancelled.
Club members took this decision once it was realised that problems concerning both equipment and outfield were not likely to be remedied in time for the Open.
This second note gives me the opportunity to make a correction with regards alternative events already scheduled for the 23rd September.
Erroneously the initial note suggested that there was to be a Charity Open at Oxford. The note should have indicated that the Charity event takes place at West Somerset - a 'snowball open' in aid of JR Whippet Rescue, and that the event scheduled to be run at Oxford is for the Andy Eaton Memorial Trophy.
Apologies for any confusion caused, and it is to be hoped that both events attract plenty of support.
