How Do I Quote???

Can anybody help me i can't seem to work out how to take a quote when replying.

I press reply, then quote, then???? no idea what to do next :sweating: :sweating:

I'll have to put my reply in a code tag so that the quote tags I'll show you don't get converted into quotes :blink:

The easiest way to quote the text in a particular post is just to click on the reply button in that post. The reply windows opens with the original test quoted between the [quote] and [/quote] tags.

To limit what text is actually quoted just delete the unwanted text between the [quote] and [/quote] tags but make sure you leave them intact. Also leave the [right][snapback]#####[/snapback][/right] text intact or delete it altogether - that is used to create a link back to the original post.

If you click on the reply button at the bottom of the topic no text is automatically quoted but you can add any text you want as a quote by putting it between [quote] and [/quote] tags.

You can also add additional information in the quote by changing the [quote] to [quote=additional text here]
