Hi we have a whippet/greyhound bitch and she is now 19 months and is yet to have a season somebody said this is normal,

so how old is a male dog before he is old enough to mate? as we also got a dog and he is showing no real signs of being interested in bitches which are in season and hes just two years old!

ive seen a 7 mth old dog mate a bitch, my eldest dog was 2 before he even thought about it.

hes just been with a bitch that was standing for him and flirting and he just sniffed whined and walked away!!

he doesnt seem to be gifted anyway, maybe hes to embarrassed to even try :teehee:

I noticed alot of people seem to breed there dogs later and thought this might be one of the reasons?
