right, 3 weeks ago my honda accord died big time, barely 2mths after having new clutch put in: started peeing out, radiator burst, fans quit, you name it, it broke within minutes of each other. glad it was BEFORE we whacked another years tax and mot on it, but however. we bought a nice s reg bmw 318 within a couple of days. its had a service, new starter motor and trim replaced since we got bought it, was yesterday purring like a kitten and running nicely indeed. this morning....dun dun DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN cant get it into gear AT ALL, no warning of any trouble bear in mind, but there we go. via the phone mechanic reckons we need a new clutch, but cant tell until they get it in for sure. if it is, we're lucky in that it wont cost much more than £250 ish to sort, if its the gearbox BUGGER BUGGER BUGGER £1500 or scrap the bloody thing.

so in snowball effect, the kids were consequently late, and the soles of my boots just wore through (wtf, at least it wasnt raining i guess  ) and in closing, im having a cruddy monday, topped off by killer poking! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

now i feel marginally better :)

it sounds like a normal day in this houes lol. hope you can get the car sorted its a nightmare with kids having no car

cheers hun :) it isnt ideal really, but looking on the positive side it means more fresh air and exercise, and at least the school is only 3 miles away, so not too bad. weve had worse. when the clutch went on the honda we happened to be 150 miles away from home on the way back from the mum in laws, about 10pm and a dead phone battery. we were lucky to flag down a lovely girl who let us phone the in laws to find us and bring us back to their house after an hour of trying.

oh btw the AA suck! if the car had gotten 1/4 of a mile away from our house they wouldve towed it to the mechanics, but as its on the drive they wont bother, so a year and a half of paying out through the last experiance, for nothing...

how goes the situation with your car?

pain in the butt arent they......touch wood ours have been fine for ages ;) .........
