I have a collie who developed idiopathic epilepsy aged 2 - he is now 5.

I am interested to learn of anyone's experiences of cluster seizures in their dogs, and whether anyone feels that clusters may be related to certain epilepsy medications. My collie had 3 separate, single fits before he was given medication - he has not had a single fit since, only clusters. Does anyone else have this experience? Thank you

I take it you have discussed it with your vet - there may be alternative medications to what you are using?

Hi - thanks for responding. Yes, but he is an advocate of this particular drug. I want to see if anyone else's dog has developed clusters (as opposed to single fits) since taking it so that I have a reasoned argument for changing it.
