Many thanks to all the workers on the day.
With a weigh in time to 11-30 and the programs out by 12-15 pm we delayed the start till 12-45 so that the racers could enjoy their marvellous pub lunches.
A really good days racing and with all dogs having the opportunity of having at least 2 racers each, we were treated to some very good and tight finishes.
The puppy final was a joy to watch with Ann and ago’s Our Alfie coming with a wet sail at the death to cross the line at the same time as Paul and Christine’s Our Amy with both dogs.
Another dead heat was Sue’s Blueberry Boy and Andrews Just Friends, an eleven pounds differential in these two dogs but at 2 foot per lb it brings them all together in the finals, makes for good finishing and if dogs are going over the line together a less likelihood of injuries.
Many thanks to Kath Cockram for doing the raffle and getting blood out of a stone.
