Grrrrrrr!
Soooo mad!
Just got back from walking the dogs at a local nature reserve. We saw a man with his grandson (about 10 yrs old) walking a cute little jack russell. Our dogs were off sniffing after rabbits but they calmly went up to this little dog for a sniff. I thought I saw the man kick his leg out but wasn't sure so thought no more of it (praps he just had a funny walk?). He went a different way and we got on with the walk.
Ten minutes later our 2 dogs were about 20 metres ahead of us and our paths crossed again so he was walking another 20 metres in front of our dogs. He rounded a corner and our dogs came running back rather too quickly which aroused suspicion. I asked my son to run ahead around the corner (the man was blocked out by trees) and as he was about to go the man came into view again taking a big kick at Grover!
ME:'Excuse me. Don't your DARE kick my dog.'
DICKHEAD:'They go after anything small those sort of dogs, have a go at all small dogs'.
ME:'He's a PUP. He's trying to PLAY. He's never raced, never been trained to catch anything and knows the difference between a dog and a bloody rabbit. He's WAGGING HIS TAIL! He's never gone for anything in his life.
Fella looked stunned at tirade. Had another half hearted swipe at Grover.
ME:'And if you kick my dog I'll come over and kick yours.'
DICKHEAD: 'Get him away then.'
I called Grover and luckily he came straight away.
ME (always got to have the last word): ''And nice touch teaching your Grandson how to kick dogs. That's a nice thing to teach him.''
What an absolute f**kwit. I can only think he thought the whippets were greyhounds but even so, kicking at dogs that weren't barking, growling while the owner is clearly with them is the absolute lowest form of life. Does he think I would have nasty dogs off lead? It makes me so mad that he could make my dogs scared of people - don't people like that realise that behaving like that is likely to make dogs attack? My dogs never go near unstable or unfriendly dogs - perhaps I should extend their training to unstable people.
Rant over haha. God I was sooo mad.
