Please help - my 9 month old Working Cocker Spaniel has chewed every single toy we have given her. Fortunately she doesn't chew things that are not dog toys but it is costing us a fortune.

We have tried - Kong, rope toys, tough rubber toys, antlers (work well but she gets bored), soft toys (destroyed in seconds) and all are just worked and worked until our house is covered in small plastic or material pieces. I would love to give her something that she can get her teeth into but does not fall apart.

Any tips on good, strong toys would be really appreciated,

Many thanks

I give mine cheap toys that I don't mind if they destroy, and those filled bones from pet shop last around 4 hours with my two chewers,

Sorry but most toys in my house are missing eyes, limbs etc

Try a big "Stagbone", available from pet shops, etc. My whippets destroy soft toys in minutes, but the stagbones are still intact and going strong. They have survived being buried /left in the garden and the rain!

you can get the super tough kongs and fill them with goodies which will prevent your dog for chewing the entire thing.

Get toys that pop out treats as your dog plays too, this seems to work wonders with mine! In fact he is playing with his split ball toy now! :)

Nylabones are another good one for avid chewers! My labrador didnt really take to them but my friends jack russell who has eaten everything including carpets curtains etc has a nylabone and it works wonders with him!

roasted bones are another good one, but dont leave the bone with your dog for too long as if its a big bone it will cause loose bowels!

basically tough rubber toys that you can stuff! it will keep your dog occupied and not as keen to chew everything to pieces.....i hope!

my labrador has destroyed every toy i have given him too but anything stuffed with goodies seems to work a treat :)

Good luck!

Good luck
