Because of the further outbreaks of kennel cough which have been reported, we have decided to postpone the Independent Bend Open next Sunday. We are hoping to reschedule for October once we have WCRA approval but this will be confirmed in due course.

We may also need to move our Straight Open forward one week to leave us more time between the two dates.

Any cheques sent with entries will be destroyed at the end of the month unless instructions are received to return them and we will issue new entry forms for the re-scheduled Open.

Sorry the kennel cough has reared its head at this time but I'm glad you've postponed your Open, :thumbsup: we don't have to make a difficult decision ourselves. Might have been safe IMHO if you excluded anyone who raced anywhere last week, but what sort of Open would that have been? Hope you and your dogs stay well :luck:

Hi Kay,

Thanks for letting us know, it's a shame as i'd booked a days holiday and it seems an age since we've been along to the Club due to poor weather or other reasons.

Good call though and hopefully staying away for a short while will have benefits in the longer term :thumbsup:
