Hi Nigel

You missed Morning Mist 4th in the Main Supreme, but apart from that, shall I officially confirm them for you?!:cheesy:

A great time was had by all.  It's so good to be back with friends, socialising on a Saturday evening, barbeques booze and whippet talk - what could be better?  Oh yes, and ghost talk   ooooooooh!

Morning Mist added and you can officially confirm the results if you feel the need :)

Did you take some photos June? Your challenge is to post them to the board. I'll give hints if required and as a last resort you could email them to me & I'll post them :cheesy:, but I'm sure you'll manage ok.

Congratulations to the Independent for staging a nice relaxed meeting. It's what racing is supposed to be all about.

I agree, it was a fun day as was the night before - did you sleep June?) Thanks to the Indi for inviting us ;)

I have to agree about the excellent day had yesterday - good fun and good racing!

Well done to the Independent.

Darcia, Rob & the Duncton Boys

p.s What's all this about ghosts?

Thanks to the Independent PWRC for a brilliant days racing and thank you very much for the invitation.

I hope everyone liked playing pass the puppy at the barbecue!!

Nigel, you must think I'm clever!  I have no idea how to post photos on the board. I did take some, and I've already emailled them to Judy.

Darcia, you missed all the ghost stories, and some were very spooky   (I love that little face!)  Get yourself a tent girl, and get down on the field next time!!  With Rob and the whippets, and some alcohol inside you, you won't be cold!

I did sleep quite well actually Judy, perhaps something to do with the Hooch?!

Hey Stevie!  We did enjoy pass the puppy, Vienna is absolutely gorgeous, and she knows it!

I'll pass on everyone's comments to John, Monica, Ray and Co.  All at the Independent would like to thank you for your support.  The rent on the field is due, and without the income of weekly racing, it is sometimes a struggle to make ends meet.  They are also thankful to Hereford Rebore for their sponsorship.  I am looking forward to the next meeting there, be it the Gloucester open, or the next Independent.  There were rumours that the track was bad - it wasn't!  It had been quite hard the previous week, but was watered and rolled.  Then Steve and I did a rain dance during last week and the heavens opened on Thursday and Friday!  With another session of rolling on Friday night, it was actually quite good.  Speak to anyone who was there, and don't listen to rumours ;) Looking forward to our next get-together.  Be there or be square as they say :cheesy:

Hi Stephen

Vienna is very lovely but playing pass the puppy at a barbecue sounds rather grusome  People might get the wrong idea!

June is quite right Darcia, you must get a tent/caravan - you are missing out.

I heard last night that Gloucester can NOT get it's ground for the Open after all so it will definitely be at the Independent ground. Our thanks must go to John, Monica, Ray and all at the Indi for being so accommodating ;) The camping is better there too
