I was just typing Indias wins in and thought Id have a look to see how many points she needed for her Show Cert of Merit and was pleased ( and surprised ) to see she was in fact 1 OVER (w00t) the 25 points needed

I duly filled in the form and sent in Monday or Tuesday . and its already come back , plus Mikkees Stub Book number

So Indias full title is now Mulcair Maykyn Me Happi JW Sh C M . all I need now are those bits in front

I know some of you `watchers ` dont think much of these JW and ShCM but some of us like to compete at open shows too ;)

Well done India :D Open shows can be so competitive in breeds such as ours, that these rewards when achieved are very well deserved

Well Done India - great that your last two bitches shown have both achieved this

As you've just filled it out Jax, can you tell me - if they get BOB and a group placing at the same show, do you get 1 point for BOB and the group points? Or do you only get the group points? I was just looking at the form the other day

Well done Jax  and the beautiful India :huggles:

Don't suppose you fancy sending me your spare point? I'd be grateful just to get a place

Hope Mikkee is pleased with his stub book number, what does he have to do get his stud one? (w00t)

Well done to the lovely India and to Mikkee too. Alison, to get a stud book number, in our breed, you have to get in the first three in open or limit.

  wELL DONE iNDIA

Jax, I'm right with you on that - I'm very, very proud of the fact that Stanley has his JW and his ShCM. It's very difficult in a breed such as ours to do so consitantly well at open shows. Plus it'snice to have a member of the family who has letters after their name :- "

WELL DONE INDIA

Or the Junior Warrant , RCC or CC

Well done Jax and India

I do agree that it is much harder to get the SHcM in Whippets than in other less numerically strong breeds- there is so much competition :b

My Iggie Alice has her SHcM, and I must admit there are nothing like the entries that Whippets get at open shows. At one show, she was the only IG entered, so was obviously BOB- nothing too difficult about that :- " but she still got the point for BOB. She did go on to win Best in Show though, under Mike Gadsby no less, so I didn't feel quite such a cheat  and another 5 points there as well!

But maybe in numerically smaller breeds there should be a minimum number entered, or present, before points are awarded, like for the JW.

As far as I know, you now get points for ResBIS too, but I'm not sure how many. They changed the ruling earlier this year.

Louise

You only get points for Res BIS if they show in NOT run on the group system :)

OH WELL , If id known that she would have had it before now , never mind

 Well done Jax & the lovely India

  Well done India, and Mikee, on your achievements, not an easy task in our breed. I must admit to not being up to date on the RBIS point thing either so thanks for posting that  , but can someone clarify the age of the dog required before collecting points? I haven't got a form to hand & have heard differing ideas.... :teehee:

There's no minimum age but placings in Puppy Groups DO NOT count
