Well I'm a big fan of Equafleece. I have the jumpers for mine but the normal coats fit well and look comfortable too. They are really well made and last ages (unless you make the mistake of letting your lurcher out in one and he decides to jump barbed wire  ) I often use them to dry off soggy dogs after a walk or a bath too

We make them, jumpers or PJ's at www.collarsrus.co.uk we are snowed under at the moment but can usually get these made fairly quickly.

I can endorse Juley 100%

I bought some great jamas for wimpy Logan off eBay.

Im sorry , but I cant still cant understand why any dog would wear a coat/pj s INDOORS ?

For me Jax, I live very very much in the middle of nowhere in an ancient house that is absolutely freezing at night. Logan feels the cold really badly and I'd rather he wear some PJ's than having the heat on all night and the rest of us being boiling hot (and poor from huge bills!)

None of ours are wearing coats on walks yet as they are far too busy running to get cold.

I'm also a massive fan of Equafleece :)

There jumpers are great; good quality and very soft and cosy, and they sell dog "suits" made of fleece like the jumpers or "t-shirt suite" that are... well like t-shirts that cover they whole body.

They also appear to do soft fleecy coats which seem suitable for indoor use, although I only ever use a jumper on Daisy indoors (I'm not really sure why... I just think she'd look funny going about with a coat on in the house but a jumper seems ok)

And I know it's not really important but most of the clothes (the fleece garments anyway) come in a great range of colours  and you can even get a faux fur on the jumper if you like that sort of thing.

Plus they make human clothes too so you and your doggy can be matching :teehee:

Or you could try the kennel coats on the whippet section of Jan's gifts or greyhound megastore however if you can get "home-made" doggy clothes then I'd definitely advise that you go with them - there's something so cute about a whippie in a woolly jumper

I'm pretty sure Jan's gifts is still on the go, we ordered a "snood" from there last year and I have to say it's one of the most comical pieces of clothing I've ever seen on a whippet :teehee:

Apart from this pink doggy raincoat from poundland that Daisy was not impressed with:

She's ok with it when we take the hood off though! (w00t)

The warm up coat or towel coat on here might be suitable - http://www.jansgifts.co.uk/list.php?type_id=112

This sight gets better day by day DOG PJ's and HOUSE COATS  :clown: maybe you can get a doggy pushchair and pipe and some slippers

God gave them a house coat it's called FUR makes you realise why people think whippets are whimps

My 3 year put these dolls shoes on chilli ages ago and i took a pic on my phone i have just asked her (she is nearly 4) if we should get the dogs jammy's and her reply was "dont be silly daddy" out of the mouths of babes

My whippets wear coats all night too, I live in a really old building also and they sleep in the kitchen where the radiator is not working... I dont see anything wrong with them wearing coats indoors if they need it. Rather that than them being cold and losing weight from it...in particular my bitch who is a fussy eater and has nothing much to lose!

I have masta coats for mine, I have had an equafleece in the past and found it really good for drying off wet dogs but not the warmest of coats. ;)

I think it's a matter for personal circumstances etc; those of us live in draughty old houses should do what we can/want to, to make sure our dogs are comfortable.

It doesn't need to turn into a "coats are good/coats are bad" slanging match surely?

My whippet is no wuss either but he needs a fleece on indoors sometimes, so I put it on him. End of!!  We've all got different circumstances, different dogs, different personalities (both dogs and people) so I don't think there's any point belittling those who come on here asking for advice.

 Well said Wilfred different strokes for different folks there is no right or wrong ,more a case of cold or warm. (w00t)
