I bought a collection of old whippet/magazine advertisement dated between 1943 and 1976. This was one of the ad's (1964). I am curious about mention of Keepsake being exported to Australia.

Where did you find the mags from? I'm so jealous, what a wonder buy!

They were on ebay. I will post some more of them on a separate thread within the next day or so. Some of them are fabulous, especially the Wingefoot and Harque ones. Other kennels are Poppy, Tinribs, Stoney Meadows, Boloney, Oxslip, Dragonhill, Allways and Test.

What are five g.'s in today's money? You can give it to me in quid--I'll do the conversion.

But it seems really really cheap.

A stud fee in the 1960's for a US dog would be $150-200---or about 120 quid. Or so.

In old money there were 20 shillings to a £ so 1 shilling is now 5p so

5 g's is

£5.05p

I saw those on ebay and passed on them. There was like 3 lots of ad clippings for sale. The guy has all different breeds and there is 1 lot there now from 1967-1973 plus old postcards for people who like to collect them. ebay name is pottydogs I think.

Thanks for passing on them Leanne. They are a lovely little collection. I bought all three lots, so I got a discount on the postage. The seller is K9 Cards

I bought some of these cutting `things ` awhile back , but was slightly disappointed with them , Ill take them to the Midlandwhippet show and any one can have a look at them and I might even let them have them as i was a tad disappointed with them
