Hi guys,

My daughter and son-in-law have a new little tabby kitten and although I have two cats at home they are mature and quiet and they and my two whippets keep a respectful distance from each other. The kitten bounces about in front of them behind the windows and although I say Leave It to them they are very interested in her and I am concerned that if they see her outside she will be chased and eaten...this would not be good for my relationship with my daughter :)

Does anyone have an idea of how to introduce them please?

Put the kitten inside a wire cage or crate and have it in the room with you and the whippets. Kitten can't get hurt by the dogs but they can show an interest in each other while you are there and no fear of kitten getting munched.

The interest will soon wear off once they realise it's a new pack member

Thank you Flylurcher, I don't have a crate, but have a large cat basket with mesh ends, so will take that over to their house tomorrow and see how it goes!
