Hi,
The Control of Dogs Order 1992 requires that a dog that is out in public should wear
"a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it".
Is it OK to use a barrel type of tag that contains the information written on a piece of paper inside it?
For the answer to be "yes", writing would have to count as "inscription"; being kept in a barrel that is attached to the collar would have to count as "attachment"; and the piece of paper would have to count as a "plate" or "badge".
I would be grateful for advice from anyone who knows for sure what the answer is!
Many thanks in advance.
John
