Yesterday Alfie kindly took my lot out for a walk. Off they went quite happily but who was the one who missed his Mum, who was the one who had to be dragged up the field and then came back at 90mph. Indy Whippet thats who. The Iggies werent in the least bit bothered that I wasnt with them.

So its official Whippys are much more loyal than Iggies (or a certian scraggy Lurcher I could mention)

i have to agree jan that whippets are loyal   ,my lot go mad if me or dad not there   its me and my shadow :- " :- "

Yep - hubby calls Oscar my shadow too.

Three of my whippies are hugely loyal but then I did hand-rear two of them. One of the hand-reared ones (ZinZin) does the whole 'Mum's on her way home' thing when I get in the car somewhere :huggles:

My show-whippet, The Supermodel, has divided her loyalty since Crufts - she found out that 'Alfyn' would feed her tripe by the bucketful so now wants to live in Lincolnshire :( ...but then she's only ever used me as her slave

Milly-mutt, the lab, is her Dad's dog and he can keep her!

And Zoomie? Well it's hard to tell because nobody else gets their hands on him  and he won't sleep on anyone else if I'm in the room...... and of course I don't spoil him o:)

my little Genie IG is my baby, she will not even walk with the old man or the kids if I am there. Zoe IG is an old moo and will go with absolutely anyone - there's a name for girls like that! but we do love her free spirit.

Sunny whippet is very good, he will go quietly but will always have an eye on me - as long as nothing small, furry or fast catches his eye. and Devon whippet, bless him, so dopey! he's a bit of a mummy's boy, but will walk with someone else if he has too.

so I guess you are right Jan, both the boys want to be with me, but only one of the girls

My OH decided to take Poppy for a walk last night(he usually takes Izzy).I was surprised when he came back in 5 minutes.Apparently,he got 100 yards up the road when she dug her heels in & flatly refused to go any further. When he turned round, she dragged him back home.
