I was sitting in the recliner this morning watching daylight try to sneak

in - watched the freezing rain start and start to build up on the porch

and steps - its going to be a mess all day today and tomorrow -

some more coming in monday then tuesday its supposed to get up

into the 60's - such is the winter weather in Oklahoma -

while I was watching I failed to protect my coffee cup - seems our

resident wildchild (Flame) has aquired a taste for coffee - she was

happily slerping up my coffee - she doesnt even sniff Paula's because

she adds sugar to hers - nope has to be black and flame prefers

it be pretty warm - doesnt like cold coffee - now those of you that

have met Flame know she is "very active" and a bit mouthy - she insists

on telling us everything, whether in her opinion, good or bad - she can

be demanding also when she decides its dinner time - now imagine

putting her on caffine - its a bit trying on days like today - right now

there a coupla squirrels out in the back yard and she is "talking to them"

telling them in no uncertain terms that the yard is HERS - and if they

persistant I am sure she will let them know that they will die if they dont

ceast and desist - She is balanced precariously on the back of the rocker

recliner even when the other dogs bounce off of it sending it rocking

back and forth - good balance and footing I guess - she will crash of

course in about 3 or 4 hours to several hours of sleep - then be back

to normal in due course -

Thunder by contrast is quiet and pretty laid back but one must remember

to keep the cake covered that is on the kitchen counter - he just prefers

to lick the icing off and leave the cake - as tall as he is he can reach

nearly all of the counter top so we have to remember and remember and

remember not to leave anything exposed for him -

Fillie just sleeps through it all - Drama, Party and Delta will look and

if its interesting will stand at attention at the window forever - the only

thing that really upsets them is when the deer herd gets to close to the

fence-

then its "katy bar the door" time - they all would be going nuts - in the

meantime its waiting time for Flame to wear down -

GEEZE - the deer are here now -

gotta go protect the windows

That sounds like quite a tribe youve got there

Great turn of phrase describing them so well

We have a little vocal whippie here too she talks away and then puts her head to the side as if she is listening soooo funny

Sounds like a great place to live

Sounds like a lively crew you have there
