Sorry to post this, I just had an e.mail from the Whippet & Greyhound Club of SA. It was to let us know that JOHN WILSON died today. John was not felling too well only a few months ago & was told then about the Cancer.

John cared deeply for his dogs & was at about every show he could get to. Always humble with his wins & gracious in defeat. His mother Yvonne, was always there & our thoughts go out to her.

I only had the pleasure of knowing him for about 30 years. His familly kennel was WINGSTAR, & are behind many whippets about today.

John was one of natures true gentlemen.

What sad news. I was made most welcome by Ray, Yvonne and John whilst holidaying in Sth Australia in the 90's and taking in a show circuit. They invited me to their kennels to meet all their Wingstar Whippets, all lovely fawns. John wrote out many pedigrees of his whippets which I kept. A truly dedicated family to the world of whippets.
