Hi I am just wondering if there is anyone in the London area with whippets?

Showing or racing or.. just.. :lol:

I am in London, and as I am so interested in Whippets, I am now ready to "eventually" get me a show one.

But got the advice to "meet" up with maybe breeders or at least Folks with whippets and maybe get more "vocal" experince.

Not sure if I am posting this right or right place.. but if I am not just tell me off and its ok to move it or what you feel is best to do with the post.

Hi, its Windsor Championship show on Friday 30th June. Why not come along? Plenty of Whippets to be seen, you could watch the judging and see what you like and maybe chat to a few people.

What time does the whippets starts? Is it all day show for them?

Is it for other breeds as well?

I searched and it came up as for others as well, so I just want to be sure, its on Friday and maybe all day?

Its on friday, judging starts at 10am. There are two rings for Whippets, dogs and bitches. Its hound day and I can't remember what other group. There are just over 180 Whippets entered.

hello and welcome to k9 :thumbsup: peds can be checked out via the kennel club also the breed supplement is available which may be some help too, some charge lower prices some charge higher, dont be afraid to ask questions for as many details as you wish, any good breeder will be happy to talk at length for the good of their pups and will be happy to discuss suitability for you and pup, ask the person as to why they have them at that price, what lines are they from etc , hope this is some help to you :thumbsup:

when i'm working its not :lol: though i'm usually to be found around northolt, south harrow, acton and on a sad occasion (very sad and its chiswick. honestly, HOW many italian coffee shops can you fit in one place?! must be a world record!) peckham and lewisham :teehee: otherwise its sunny old slough for me :x

Try to get to Windsor, the judging will go on til after lunch probably. There should be quite a few K9ers there, but just speak to anyone they wont mind unless they are just waiting to go in the ring perhaps, although this never bothers me!!
