Hi,

I'm getting a female whippet puppy in about a week, very exsited !!!! (w00t)

I will be getting her spade after her first season, but what I was wondering is, can you still show a female whippet after they are spade ?

I heard that if you get permission from the Kennel club you can show them, is this true ?

I will probaly not be showing her, but I wanted to know what her options where, for competions once she is spade .... can she still do agility ? racing ? or fly ball compettions ??

Thankyou for your time,

:)

How exciting for you, give us more, what colour is she? whats her breeding?

what are you calling her? and most of all we want lots of piccies

Yes you can show but you do need to inform the KC i wouldnt think it would affect any of the other sports you might wish to try. Not too sure about the racing.

Luv Jan

I am not 100% on this but I thought that you could only continue to show under KC rule when the speying or neutering was done in "exceptional circumstances"? ie; for health reasons etc...I could be wrong though?

Lots of luck for the future whatever you decide to do with her. :luck:

Oh and don't forget to post lots of lovely puppy pics!

why is that??  just wondered :)
Was that directed at me?? If so....I have NO IDEA!!!! I just thought (I am assuming someone more in the know must have mentioned it to me and it has stuck) that was the case...as I said above though,I could be well off the mark here??

You can show dogs and bitches now that have been neutered as long as you inform the KC it has been done :))

Thanks everyone for your answers !! :)

I think it is good that you can show dogs that have been spayed/ nueterd,
