Hi my mates got one it's Kelpie whippet x Kelpie greyhound/whippet out of Dave Sleight's breeding. Len's about 12 months old and showing a lot of promise very obedient he drops like a sheep dog to the whistle. Here's a picture about 5 months old in this one. len's on the right

looks a nice dog,i spoke to the bloke this morning he says they are a better cross than border/beardie crosses as they aren`t so commercially bred, they are still bred for working ability not just to look good in show ring (his words not mine) he did mention dave sleight using the cross with good results.

hopefully my mate wont have the pup, then i can buy it. :- "

i think theres bordercollie in this dogs breeding as its merle

I didn't know that about kelpies not throwing merles Len was from a guy in pershore who took his bitch to Dave Sleight to mate to one of his dogs I think kelpie /boy blue. The bitch got out and he (Dave Sleight) wrote an article about it in the Earth dog running dog. last year sometime. I don't know whether the bitch had some border in it but Len doesn't look like any collie lurcher I've seen. Anyway he's a good dog and I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend a Kelpie cross.
