So my family were planning on going on holiday at Easter, and putting our dog into a Kennel, however, she will have only just turned 1 year when we go, and we were going to get her sprayed. However for the surgery she needs to be 1year old and really the only time we could get her sprayed would be in the easter holidays, when we plan to go on holiday. Thing is we don't want to risk putting our dog into Kennels when she hasn't had this surgery, just in case. So my question is, what other options are there for her to be looked after when we go away? e.g. Is there such thing as a female dog kennel?

A good kennels should never mix dogs. This would especially be so with an entire dog or bitch. If you warn them when you take her in then all should be fine. They may want to know, in advance, if she is likely to be in season during her stay with them.

Alternatively you could use a home sitting service. They usually offer a choice of the dog going to stay with a dog sitter or the sitter coming to live in your house.
