Hello,

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here, sorry if I am

Does any one know of any KCS breeders? My friend is looking for a pup and doesnt know where to start really. Also worried after watching that pedigree exposed programme on TV.

Champdogs and the KC website would be good starting points.

Make sure she asks lots and lots of questions to any breeder, with regards to health tests and so on.

Hope she finds a wonderful pup soon

I believe the king charles are harder to come by than cavaliers.

If you email the kc they can give you a list of accredited breeders :thumbsup: That's where I started. Lots of :luck: to your friend in their search.

so we are talking about cavaliers?

I've been helping a friend to find a cav pup for her mother and have come to a conclusion that there are no decent litters around, from the ones we had looked at only two had health certificates (one of these litters she is visiting today, I await puppy pictures ).

in regards to cavalier talk message board - I registered there to ask whether anyone could suggest a good breeder, I waited for ages but were not allowed yet to post so I sent a PM to the board administrator the question. she wasn't very helpful, just directed me to look at the ''buying a puppy'' sticky thread, um, yes, I know how a puppy should be purchased and what to look for in breeders... and on that board members are not allowed to mention any breeders or actual litters. so, don't think that would be of much help for anyone else either.

There is one litter of King Charles Spaniel's that I know of, but hundreds of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. A friend of mine breeds Cavs and has a litter at the mo, and they MRI scan their dogs

Rightio, just tried to get a direct link but am unable to do so, go on the Champdogs website - http://www.champdogs.co.uk/ Then click on "list of puppies by breed" and the scroll down until you get to King Charles Spaniel, then click on the kennel name - Othmese. According to that page their pups are still available
