Hey all! We are currently carravning in the lake district and last night and early this morning the rain just continually came down! But it stopped around 4-5am so today we went out for a drive to kendal and the lakes and there were so many high tided bridges most fields were swamped and loads of massive puddles in the road. One point we were driving through the lake as it has over flowed. We went to where the ferry docked and of course it was out of order and the water was half way up the sign so we turned back. We had a lovely drive and i have loads of pictures otherwise i would post pictures up now but they will be up by tuesday night. We heard about the runners stranded and we hope they get home safe and well. Our caravan site is fine and high up so the rain runs down, so all is good. Peps and phoebs are having a smashing time! we are currently curled up on the sofa, and the rain has just started again!!
Just thought id tell ya'll coz its scary but also fun as my daddys land rover has been soaking every car going passed. And its usually BMW's going through at 5 miles per hour being very careful then my dads monster land rover comes through at the normal limit, oo it is funny seeing the owners face. As he said your more likely to get stuck going through dead slow as we seen a few people pulling over after going through piuddles and AA everywhere!!
